Tackle it Tuesday 5 (I think)
OK so here it is. The infamous Christmas tree. Yes it was still up until yesterday. I tackled it!!!!
It’s our first year we have had a Christmas tree. We have been married for four years but the first three we were in small apartments and didn’t have a tree. We moved into our first house last January which came with an artificial one! So needless to say It was a pretty boring looking tree
Here’s the tree all undecorated.
And finally it’s all gone…or as my son said when he saw it “Dall Din”
Note: It is sitting there on the floor in pieces. My husband had to study for a mid-term which he is taking right now as we speak so he will bring down the box from the attic tonight when he gets back from classes.
X-rated Libraries.
No I am not joking. Here in upstate new York a wonderful thing was proposed in our county. The Libraries here are having a terrible time with Pornography.Why such a problem you may ask. It’s plain and simple…free internet access! Well one of our county controllers made the statement that if the Libraries didn’t do something about it, the county was going to pull their funding……in our county that means MILLIONS of dollars. What a great move in the right direction.. I agree totally however, enter the ACLU. They are threatening lawsuits because what our county is trying to do (Protect our children) has already been decided by the Supreme court in a similar case. In other words our county can’t do anything about porn in the libraries because of a previous ruling on porn in Libraries. How disheartening as a Christian Parent that I have no say in this other than not letting my children go to the public library. How twisted. The government wants our children to become readers and yet they let porn go into our public libraries. I think it’s time we start buying more books. Yeah they are expensive but in the long run the cost is priceless to keep our children from accidentally seeing something they shouldn’t!!!

I love Games.
I love to play games. it’s one of my favorite things to do. My husband was quite alarmed at the size of my game collection when we got married. (He didn’t appreciate them nearly as much as I did!) Needless to say our game collecion has grown quite a bit since we were married almost 4 years ago. He actually enjoys playing now and that makes me very happy.
