Ok in one week this is how far i have gotten. Talk about frustrating and they said it was a two hour sewing project. It has taken that plus some to get the pattern pinned and cut out. I don’t even have all the pieces cut out. Mainly cuz i washed the interfacing material, like I have been taught to do. I then dried it . That was a HUGE HUGE HUGE mistake. Why you may ask? It was fusible interfacing and the who 3 or 4 yards are completely ruined. I guess that just made it even more obvious I’m nothing but a novice. OOOPS!
A day of mourning and an Anniversary.
I so tried to not write about the happenings of this week. It has been disturbing to all who hear the chilling tales of this last Monday. Do you remember where you were. I was sitting at my kitchen table feeding my kids! How about Columbine do you remember where you were when you saw the first chilling video clips of that blood stained body of a boy flinging himself from a second story window. I do I was home packing for my senior trip to Boston. I went to a small Christian School. My brothers However did not. Our area in Pennsylvania was the worst in the country for Copy cat threats. My brother’s school had a hit list on line and needless to say nearly half the students didn’t attend school the following day, my brother’s included.
Life id full of of surprises, both good and bad. This shocking display of anger and hate disturbs me deeply. I link this very closely to the hate that was displayed on 9/11. This young man who obviously had some very serious problems said that he was forced to do this, and his major complaint was against the rich and affluent. But is you look closely at the list of those who lost their lives, many were from other countries across the globe who just as he had worked to get where he was.
The most disturbing of all the personal stories would be the professor from Isreal who was a survivor of the holocaust. He survived one of the most horrendous acts this world has ever witnessed to die here in the U.s. by a disgruntled, unhappy student because he didn’t have what others were blessed with. I can’t shake it.
Aside from this disturbing tale we were faced with a great development in the political world. Partial Birth Abortion has been banned! Praise the Lord!!! Now the rest of the pro-choice country goes nut’s. Planned Parenthood says that the government “clearly does not care about the mother’s health.” Well if the truth be known there has never been a documented case of Partial Birth Abortion due to a mother’s health.
Do you know what Partial birth Abortion is? Planned Parenthood does not and will not give a valid description so if you have a a weak stomach or are with young children you may not want to read the details.
Partial Birth Abortion is where the baby is in the process of labor and delivery. Just after the Baby’s head comes out of the birth canal and the body is still inside, A pair of pointed Scissors is pushed through the baby’s skull, then it’s brains are suctioned out, and the rest of the body id delivered. Simply appalling. I am sorry for the disgusting description but as I have talked with many in the Christian community it was disturbing to find out that many have no clue and thought something less appalling.
A young Mom Update
First of all let me get something off my chest! Can I just say it drives me nuts when people think they know somebody and their situation. Big named people get the raw end of the deal in my opinion. We on the outside build them up to a god/goddess status and then when they come crashing off the pedestal we built up for them we think they “can’t hack it.” Now I would just like to point out that celebs are people too> They are humans and sinners just as we are. God loves them just as much and He wants them to be brought unto Himself. He longs for them to be His children as well no matter what they have done or said!
That being said I have an update on the young woman I posted about. I got some great responses for this prayer request. This young woman the day I posted attempted suicide. My heart has been burdened for this young mom for some time. For those of you who have not read my other post here is a brief summary. I know of a young mom who is two years younger than myself. She has two children about 12 months apart. She was recently diagnosed with Postpartum depression and is seriously ill. She attempted suicide the day I last posted. I appreciate all of your prayers for her. Well I don’;t really think I would have gotten such a positive response had I told you who she was. Now for the identity of this young mom…she is the young Brittney Spears… Yep you are shocked aren’t you. maybe appalled. .if you only knew it was her perhaps you would not have been so compassionate. Wait a minute that’s not what Christ intended. He had compassion on the least liked and loved…real sinners..harlots, tax payers, gentiles, those who were demon possessed ..real outcasts of society. Now I do say we should condone what she has done but what I do say is love her for the pain she has experienced. She is a lone and she needs prayer. And most importantly she needs SALVATION!
