We’re Off Again.

Yep that’s right we are leaving our home once again, but this time it is purely for fun! We leave tonight for a Bible conference near where we live! And boy are we all excited. Right down to Tornado who refused to go to bed because he wanted to help daddy pack the Ford truck and when all was packed he looked up at daddy and stated, “Otay me doh det in my seat and you drive to….’ The place shall remain unstated but the pronunciation was to say the least hilarious! All of that happened at 11 PM!!

Oh if you knew Tornado!

There’s Nothing Quite Like It!

I guess I never really noticed it before but isn’t it just so great when toddlers start giving you Real hugs!

I mean the real squeeze tight kind of hugs , not just when they lay their head on your shoulder when you ask for a hug.

Tornado has been giving real hugs for some time but Lady bug has just started. And can i say there is just such a huge difference between the two. Tornado feels like a bear hug! Which is great in and of itself but Lady bug ,hers is so gentle and nurturing. One of my favorites times she gives me a hug is when I am standing at the kitchen sink and she comes up and slips her arms around one of my legs and lingers there for a while. There is nothing quite like the hug for a child to grip your heart in so many ways it sends your head whirling with memories whether of your own childhood or the earlier childhood memories of your own children!

TO-DO THURSDAYS!

And last but definitely not least is my to-do list for today! Whew! I feel winded. three posts in one. I have had a lot on my mind and no time to write about them!So here it is!

TO-DO LIST

1. Finish putting winter coats in the Attic!
2. Finish filling out my prayer sheets
3. Do 75% of my cards!
4. Locate the rest of our camping equipment. (Bible conference vacation is in one week! And we thought we weren’t going to get a vacation this year!!!!)
5. . Wash the coats for the yard sale

As you can tell my to-do list has been cut in half only because mt card file takes care of all the normal cleaning stuff so check back later to see how I did!

Death Penalty for Rape is Cruel and Unusual Punishment? —Use discretion!

I have a ton to catch up on so here’s political article I wanted to draw to your attention!

WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court on Wednesday outlawed executions of people convicted of raping a child. In a 5-4 vote, the court said the Louisiana law allowing the death penalty to be imposed in such cases violates the Constitution’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment. “The death penalty is not a proportional punishment for the rape of a child,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in his majority opinion. His four liberal colleagues joined him, while the four more conservative justices dissented.

Now that being said….how many of you think it is cruel and unusual punishment for that child to be raped! That person has taken the life away from that child and killed their innocence. That is so very hard to work through, not impossible but EXTREMELY difficult! It’s funny how we once cared about the victim and now the courts have switched to caring for the criminal! They “seem” to have rights that surpass all others. The Preamble to the U.S. Constitution states:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The declaration goes on to state:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. –That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,…

You can go here and read the rest of the Constitution. I think I have said enough and if you don’t get my point and the intentions of our forefathers than maybe e you need to spend some time studying the Constitution! Thanks to my 8th grade history teacher who made us memorize the preamble and other portions of the Bill Of Rights and the Constitution! Because of him, I know I had a great education!
