Prayer Plan For Our Husbands- Day 8

I  find it humorous as I sit here writing all of the posts that I meant to complete 2 months ago…..Yeah I totally don’t know what I was thinking as I started this at the beginning of one of the busiest times of the year.   SOOOOO I will provide the links here back to the first 7 posts and then start here with day 8.

My goal is to get as many of the posts scheduled as possible due to our absolute crazy life.  I fully intend to get as many as possible posted In the time of one ADVENTURES IN ODYSSEY…So on that note let the catch up begin!

DAY 8
Pray that your husband will work hard for your family to the best of his ability.  Pray that the character qualities necessary for a successful career and ministry will be a growing part of his character-persistence, decisiveness, strength , an analytical mind. organizational skills, positive relationships with people, determination, etc.

Thankful Thursday-2/10/2011

Okay so today is the last two of my for things I was Thankful for back a few weeks ago….

#3 was
WHAT’S IN THE BIBLE

Have you seen it?  It’s Phil Vischer’s new project along with Focus on the Family.  It’s an amazing Children’s video series .  The goal is to go from Genesis to Revelation is 18 videos and teach all of the theology along side the Bible we love so much!!

Only the first 4 videos are out BUT we will say that there are so many great things about this series.  We own all 4 of the videos so far and it is amazing at the amount of material our kids have retained.  After seeing video #2 two or three time Our 5 year old Tornado could recall what happened in the whole book of Exodus…..and he did it off the cuff at dinner one night …we were FLOORED!
You can find the videos in any of the “normal” places like Amazon or CBD  OR you can go to their website HERE
You can also spend some time watching some clips and getting to know the characters of what’s in the Bible at jellytelly.com

I am so grateful for such solid  children’s resources that aren’t flat  lined in all the important ares!!!!

#4
My Hubby
I have the most wonderful hubby in the whole wide world!  you can try to debate me BUT you won’t ever ever win!!!!  You cannot convince me that your husband is sweeter than mine mostly cuz I can’t  experience that!!!!

But as of late hubby and I have been reconnecting despite our busy lifestyle and all the craziness that most people won’t ever experience or understand AND despite all of this he has been more conscientious about our time.!  time is so important for me and that is something he has been working on .  we get so little time together so it means a lot that he has been making it count!  I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

Tackle It Tuesday-SNOW DAY 2-1-11

Okay SOOO if you have been following the drama in our household either on FB or here on the blog you know that the last week and a half has been NUTS to say the least!

WELLLL today is no different…..everyone is on the mend.KIND OF.  hubby I think over did it yesterday in the cold….so today  he is really nfeeling it.  He took a much needed morning nap this AM  and is now at church gathering up some things to work at home as he prepares to finish his ThM thesis.

Lady Bug woke up last night at about 11 throwing up bUT she has done a LOT better today.  She kept down a boiled egg and a popsicle for breakfast…..I know I sound like a great mom don’t I?

And on top of it all Tornado and Bug have their very first snow day in their school career!  They are excited and bummed all at the same time…mostly because they can’t play in it!  Their coughs are just too bad to play in the snow…..SO what am I going to be tackling today…..SANITY!!!  Plain and simple!

The kids have not been to school since last Wednesday…..and since i am pretty sure they will have another snow day tomorrow and I have now not seen the outside of my house in a week and a half other than to take the dog out to go potty…SANITY IS IN HIGH ORDER!

So I have a lot to achieve today.  i need to finish folding the laundry that has been on our couch for 3 days.  I need to do a MAJOR amount of dishes,  I need to organize ALL of the boys clothes and i need to clean our bedroom…..SOOOO here is the checklist and I will post pictures of the finished projects as they happen!!  SORRY NO BEFORE SHOTS TODAY!

FOLDING LAUNDRY

SANITY

i guess the overall goal is to get my house back to that lovely sancuary feeling I love so much!

My favorite blog post this week:
Nothing really!

Lesson learned the past few days:

His plans are not my plans and I need to be willing to roll with whatever He sends my way.  Sometimes that is hard for me.  I love to minister to the people in our church and sometimes that may mean I have to let someone do it in my place OR be the one who s ministered to!

On my mind:Lost friends and family….

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Finally brothers,
whatever is true, whatever is Honorable, whatever is just, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any
excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these
things!
