It’s been almost 2 years since my sister-in-law and I were spending time shopping in Sunny Southern Florida!    I purchased these coffee mugs and she said. “On the really cold days you can drink your coffee and think of me!”   Well I can honestly tell you I have used those mugs everyday this week…..and thinking of my dear sister-in-law…….in SUNNY, WARM SOUTHERN FLORIDA!

Product Review: This Is My Life Planner

“This Is My Life ” Planner was offered free to review on a FB PAGE I frequent!

I loved its layout right from the beginning, but I’m getting ahead of myself

This planner is for purchase at www.avirtuouswoman.org.

just click  “This is My Life”

I used a different printable PDF planner last year and by the end of the year it frustrated me quite a bit. I had to have a page printed for everyday of the week! It got to be quite cumbersome and by the end I ditched the whole thing. I also had to fill in EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! Talk about time consuming…yikes!

Let’s talk options: you can choose between black and white or color.
I chose black and white only because we were out of color ink! No biggie.

There are add -on options as well
Budget planner
Holiday bundle
Kitchen planner

And many other options…you can also purchase it printed and bound for you!

So a couple of REALLY COOL THINGS.

1. Customer service with Melissa is GREAT’. There was a slight issue I picked up on and within 24 hours….FIXED!

2. One of the things I asked her if she had (she didn’t at the time) was a blogging add-on…..did you see the VERY FIRST ITEM ON MY ADD-on list. (AND ITS FREE). Soooooo as soon as I’m finished here guess what I’ll be doing!!!!!

3. If you sign up for blog updates, the kitchen planner is free too!

4. Everything is super affordable! Buy what you like skip what you don’t need! Love this!  AND all purchases are a one time purchase!   You buy the files once and print off year after year!  LOVE THAT!

5. It’s cut my planning time down to a quarter of what it was just a few short months ago. I literally write in what’s coming up this week. Menu plan accordingly (because that pages is right next to your weekly plan!). No flipping back and forth! Most of my tasks are already there for me. So no re-writing EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Just check it off!

6. One of the super neat features of binding it yourself is this….I added notes pages (as many as I wanted between each week). I thought this was a cool way to capture some thoughts about my weeks, which I could then include in scrapbooks/ blogposts/ journals…and so on

7. I dressed up my black and white cover with scrapbook paper and rub ons making it all my own!

There really is so much I love about this planner! So much versatility.
I will definitely purchase from Melissa in the future!

So there were 3 cons but since she met my suggestion about blog add ons I only have 1. I wish there was extra areas provided to write in weekly items in the check off area. This is no big deal really because the space she did give is enough to write in under the chores given.

the second con is nothing big either but a spot to check off for doing your daily bible reading would be cool too but again not a big thing!   I wrote it in in the afore mentioned space!

Here are the rest of my snapshots of my planner!   I’m in full swing using it and love how versatile it is!

Unburied and EMBRACING

Hi everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ahhhh, I love that feeling of a fresh start. It is EXACTLY what this weary soul needed. Though like never before this next year seems so uncertain…..but I am embracing that! There are some really exciting things headed our way this year as well. I have a very new perspective on life one that only really comes through tough stuff!

A couple of the great things I’m looking forward to in 2015:

1) once again I will blog through Hope For The Weary Mom. BUT it’s expanded….by quite a bit! I will be serving on the launch team as well this time around…SUPER EXCITED! My copy should arrive soonish!

2). Summer…I know you’re thinking “REALLY MARY?” The truth of the matter is that I NEED MORE SUN, MORE WARMTH AND MY KIDDOS OUT OF SCHOOL!

3) a week away…..writing in our camper COMPLETELY ALONE! I haven’t been that alone for nearly….ok ever! There will still be lots of people around but…not my kids or my hubby. Weird!

4) the Raising Generations Today Conference in October. I am serving in a couple of areas on the leadership team…and I am VERY excited about this conference and all it stands for!

And there are a bazillion other little things that make me excited for the coming year.

And no matter what comes sailing our way, I will rely on God to help us embrace it!
So what’s heading your way in 2015?
Are you excited? Scared? Embracing it?

2015 Word of the Year

GREETINGS……AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope all is well.

I must confess all is not well with our family. We have been holing in secrets. But alas I cannot share with you (YET). The heartache that has loomed over us for the last 3 months and will continue to do so for some time. But enough of this for now. I want to share with you a couple of things for the upcoming year.

As you know last year I picked the word PURPOSE for my word for the year along with the verse 1 Corinthians 10:31

Well this year as I have prayed about taking on some added responsibilities and working on a conference team God has repeatedly brought one word to mind……. Continue reading “2015 Word of the Year”

Introducing Faith Forward

image

Hello dear friends!

So as promised a little over a month ago…I plan to write a weekly post called FaithForward. The whole idea of these blog posts is to make us think deep within ourselves and to challenge us to move forward in our faith!  Does that mean these posts will be easy to read…I hope not, because they won’t be easy to write!

I’m very excited about this series.

I already have next week’s post written and ready for my blog to go live!

Out of all the posts schedules to happen each week this one has been the most difficult to think about as our family has quite literally fought through being crippled by a horrible circumstance…a circumstance rooted in sin, and we are slowly working our way out of the dark murky swamp we have found ourselves in.  All while holding Jesus’ hand and sometimes even being carried my Him we have deepened our faith far more than I ever expected!

I can’t wait to share some of this journey with you over the coming months!

Blessings,
Mary
