2015 Word of the Year

GREETINGS……AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope all is well.

I must confess all is not well with our family. We have been holing in secrets. But alas I cannot share with you (YET). The heartache that has loomed over us for the last 3 months and will continue to do so for some time. But enough of this for now. I want to share with you a couple of things for the upcoming year.

As you know last year I picked the word PURPOSE for my word for the year along with the verse 1 Corinthians 10:31

Well this year as I have prayed about taking on some added responsibilities and working on a conference team God has repeatedly brought one word to mind…….

Embrace happens to be the theme of this year’s Raising Generations Today Conference . I attended the conference last year and its theme was HOPE. Boy have the truths from that conference helped over the last few months! And as I’ve journeyed the last three months on the afore mentioned dark path of hurt a still small voice tugs at my heart and says……”this is for you”

I must confess though, I don’t want to embrace this! It was sinful and hurt my children and our family. It is a rank stench to my nose and a horrible taste in my mouth and yet, I am reminded of Paul’s words to the Philippians (which is my theme verse for the year

As you can see MANY changes have been made mostly for the safety and sanity of our family. And the new blog title is my reminder that I must walk by faith for I have NO CLUE what tomorrow will bring AND the very verse I picked for this year is my reminder that despite the horrible, rotten, no good things I can still be content. I will choose to EMBRACE and WALK BY FAITH!
