Tackle it tuesday…magazine Mahem

I have a subscription to family circle (R ) I love the magazine i hat all the ads. So A while ago I decided that i have this great file system I had to make in a women’s ministry class in college I might as well utilize it to the fullest.I tear out the articles and then staple and file them. I separate them into three categories: those that can be staple and filed right away, Those articles that share a page. For that problem I photocopy the last page that is shared and attach it to the corresponding article. And then finally food. They obviously get filled in a cook book in the kitchen. Then they get stapled after this process the get separated into the folder categories they fit! Then they get filed. My husband has a numbering system kind of like the Dewey Decimal system but modified to fit in depth religious works and is legal to use. FYI If I remember correctly if you want to use the Dewey system you have to purchasing licensing permission. There are other systems available and you can find them online. My husband got his from a professor in seminary!

Ultrasound News

I have been teased royally over the last two months that I was having twins…or maybe triplets. That was suggested on two separate occasions by two seperate girls in our youth group which I promptly replied “If I’m having triplets you’re moving in with me and I am not paying you!” Well here is the answer to that burning question ,”Yes Virginia there is only one baby!” I am bigger because i am actually one week ahead of what the calendar shows! As for the other burning question, “WHAT ARE YOU HAVING?” Since we have one of each we thought it was exciting to find out that we are having a …………………………………………………………………………. ……………………BABY………………. That’s right a baby. We know what it is and are totally excited, however in lieu of all the questions you’ve had one of each do you have any clue as to what you are having?…I say you will have to wait and see. Maybe as we draw closer to November 24TH or November 25th as the case might be, I will attempt to give some hints with out giving it away! Have a great day!

Wordless Wednesday – a truly funny story!

What a day i had yesterday. Both of the pictures were a result of yesterday. Well let’s start at the beginning, it’s a very good place to start. I woke up at 8:30 with a horrendous migraine. Yes both of the kids slept til 8:30! What a blessing so i fumbled around the house for some time and finally crashed on the couch with tornado. Being pregnancy I try to suffer things out longer than usual without taking any sort of meds. So about 1:30 or so i broke down and took some Tylenol and ate some Carbohydrates and drank a ton of water. Needless to say with in an hour I was feeling much better but pretty wiped out. The kids got up around 4 and that when the real fun began. The dog had to go out so I put him on his line and kinda forgot about him til I heard the thunder rumble! I promptly stopped making supper and went out to get him closing the screen door behind me so tornado didn’t come out in the thunderstorm. Well In the thirty seconds it took me to undo the dogs chain Tornado had locked me out. I had no keys and our front door was locked because Tornado has escaped on 3 or 4 different occasions. He can scale the gate and unlock the front door and leave pretty much whenever he sees fit so we have resorted to using our deadbolt all of the time. Now when we moved here we intentionally had our doors keyed the same as hubby’s parents so just in case either set of us got locked out someone could come to the rescue. However the deadbolt was not keyed correctly to all the keys so only two sets work on the deadbolt! However I did not know that last night. So there I was getting wet in a very severe thunderstorm and the dog barking. I could see everything that was going on inside. (Note: there is no key for a screen door!) So tornado opened the fridge and was removing items left and right showing them to me until he discovered the fresh strawberries. He set both quart containers on the kiddie table and enter lady bug who had never tasted a strawberry until that moment. She was in her walker going around the kitchen in a happy sort of way. Needless to say I watched in horror. In the meantime I had run next door and called my in-laws who only live 5 minutes away. but when I went in side this is what I found! Note she was moved to her high chair because the walker was disgusting mess! So hubby came home from work and got a huge kick out of the story we ate dinner and went to the grocery store. When we got home the storm was just ending and the sunset was so gorgeous. Here’s the picture..It doesn’t begin to do it justice and as I sat there thinking about it a song popped into my head and it fir how I felt that day perfectly! So take a few minutes and enjoy the song

No plot, No point!

Hubby and I were driving to our doctor’s office yesterday and we were talking about a certain movie that just came out. We saw the first of the three and liked it despite the spiritism that is clearly evident throughout all of the movie, but that another post! Anyway the second movie in the series came out and we were going to see it in the theater, however we heard a review and decided it wasn’t worth out money, because there really was no plot and that the ending was basically non existent. So we again waited to see it on video. I feel asleep and hubby tried to watch it. the attempt was short lived so we said that we would wait to see the third movie in hopes that it would be worth our time and money. Apparently we were wrong again. The reviews have not been raving and pretty much all of our friends are disappointed.

Now with the second we had friends that saw the movie five times in the theater. I guess I don’t understand how people could pay so much money on something that is so pointless. If it doesn’t have a plot isn’t it pointless. That is the question that hubby and I are struggling with for our own family. Any insights.?

Tackle it Tuesday

Wow i have been out of the saddle in a while. I have felt bad about not blogging in a while, but I have been combating numerous different issues both with the pregnancy and with life in general. I have been away from home every weekend the last month some of those were without hubby and the kids. this past weekend was such a weekend. I went to a ladies retreat with my mother-in law. What a disaster that turned out to be. We ended coming home early because I was sicker than sick. I am pretty sure I had a pretty bad case of food poisoning and lost a couple of pounds in a day! So my tackle it for this Tuesday morning is to get prepared for tomorrow and Thursday when I go in to speak to my Mother-in-laws 6th grade home and careers class about babysitting. would gladly accept any insights as to what you look for in a baby sitter.
