Happy homeMaker Monday 9-21-09

The weather in my neck of the woods: It’s officially Fall and We are OFFICIALLY ALL sick!

One of my simple pleasures: CHEESE!

On my bedside table: A lamp, telephone uncluttered mes and an EMPTY tissue Box (hmm I wonder why)

On my TV: Nothing

On the menu for tonight: Im not sure mostly because i have ABSOLUTELY no desire to cook at all

On
my To Do List: Straighten whole house..Minor tidying PTL! New Recipe I
tried last week: Campbell’s cheesy chicken and rice casserole

In the craft basket: It’s all about Little House on the Prairie Crafts, we’re making Corn Husk Dolls.

Looking forward to: this week being over..it’s going to be a trip!

Homemaking Tip for this week: When having a large informal gathering swallow your pride and go disposable!

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other): Ummm not sure I read a couple of really great ones

Favorite photo from last week: Lesson learned the past few days:
Letting go of some things that just are not in my biblical job
description and handing them back over to hubby…what peace and
serenity! On my Prayer List: My
pastor-husband who has a most crazy week ahead of him, friends who
found out that their little girl isn’t going to win the fight of Sickle
cell anemia and three family very close to us who are fighting the
devastation of three different pathological Liars

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses: He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

1 Chronicles 16:14 (NKJV)

Today we are sad

This morning we found out via a facebook post by a friend of ours that
her little girl is going to die! This touches my heart so much because
this little girls holds a VERY special Place in my heart. She was one
of my two flower girls…..I also lived with her family for a couple of
weeks while I looked for an apartment my senior year of college and her
mom DID all of my flowers for my wedding!

The family is going through some other Major trauma as well and could
REALLY use your prayers. Sasha you are such a brave young lady and we
LOVE YOU!!

A VERY Long Story Cut VERY Short!

We got one dog,
His name was Ace.
He seemed to be just our pace.
He was cute
but he was huge.
He was a Great Dane Lab Mix!

The sad thing was this cute dog of ours
Got attacked by a pit bull the day after we got him.
And then he was scared …
He nipped at hubby and I though he cared for the kids!
So we said goodbye through many tears.

We prayed and Prayed
And through much looking we found a pair meant to be.
What joy they have brought.
Their names are Linus and Lucy and they are as happy as can be!
Being Lazy as you will see

They are quite and lazy and and as laid back as can be for two little Puppies of the ripe old age of five months. they are brother and sister and they love each other. Labs are companion dogs…they LOVE the companionship of other dogs and it has worked well.

We will miss you Ace And we Love you Lucy and Linus!
