Thankful Thursday-3/10/2011
I have two big things that I am thankful for this week. Not to say that I am limited to just these two because I am very thankful for so many many things BUT these two things are big for this week!
#1 is Medical technology-technology that helps us to figure out things and how to make life better BUT there will be more on that at a later date.
&
#2 AWANA- even though I am the pastor’s wife I determined about a year ago that there are times when you just plain and simple have top say NO….I felt like I was spinning out of control. . So my sanity I chose to say No more….I have not regretted it since though I will say that I am a substitute for Cubbies and I have done so gladly a few times. But during that time I have become a new woman. renewed and refreshed. the time is for me. even thoughI still have my little Bean here at home he is in bed the whole time. It is amazing what two and a half hours of total peace and quite can do for a mom!!! It really does make me a better mom, wife, and pastor’s wife!
So what are you thankful for this Thursday?
TWO GREAT GROUPS MEET LIKE NO OTHER!!!
LIFE has been busy, not just for us but everyone. But one of the things I had the oppertunity to do two weeks ago was see this group in concert….AMAZING The one word I have to describe this group and OH YEAH I got to meet DENVER!!!!!
I chose this song because this awesome group will be pairing with Go Fish in a kids CD releasing this summer and as a HUGE fan of both groups….here ya go!
And as a wife of a trumpeter…I love this group and their HUGE talent!!!
GO BIBLE!
What is a Go Bible?
Well It is a very valuable Piece of tecnology…..especially for me!!!
Let me show you!!!

Yes it is an Mp3 player….with the entire Bible on it….Mine has the NIV version on it But you can purchase other version for it as well.
I have the Go Bible Voyager which comes with 3GB of sapace to add music or Mp3 version of books. Oh and every month on the Go Bible website they give away a free book. You can also buy a version with no added space..Just the bible. You can also find many public domain music and books to put on your Go Bible!! It comes with the black felt case, ear buds and the player..if you get the voyager you will also get the USB cable to hook up to the internet!
You can also hook up the player to speakers which you can either purchase from the company OR as we do it Hook it up to an old set of computer speakers!!
Even if you already have an Mp3 player you can set up an account online WITHOUT making on a purchase and you can still get the free monthly book!!!!
You can go to www.gobible.com
I will say this as a person who has had a visual impairment for over half of my life, this tool helps me to achieve the goal hubby and I have set for ourselves to read the Bible in 4 months. I am a mom of four kids and a pastor’s wife as well so life could not be any crazier! This tool helps me be in God’s word more often!!!
Life can be a challenge sometimes…
the last few weeks have been a huge challenge to say the least. I have had numerous friends go through some terrible experiences, I have prayer, cried Prayed and cried some more. The scary thing is I still have some great people in my life going through some horrendous things.
Over the last two weeks I have seen a friend who lost her husband who waged an incredible battle with non-hogkins lymphoma.
Last week the young woman who sang at our wedding lost her first and only child. She knew all along that she was going to loose her baby as soon as she was born and yet she was courageous and looked at each day with her baby was an incredible blessing.
Tonight my flower girl lays in the hospital tonight. She has sickle cell anemia. See has lost sight in her one eye and they are working o save her vision.
Also tonight we have a lady from our church who is also laying in the hospital PRAYING her baby can stay in her tummy until Friday. When the baby will be 32 weeks. She is battling pre-eclampsia. And her blood pressure keeps skyrocketing.
Never before have i felt so bombarded…I have spent so much time praying for all of these people. It hurts so much and yet. My faith has not sunk nor wavered.. Amazingly it has soared. I have watched these two incredible women walk away from their personal battles in losing people they care about SOOO deeply and they have relied on God to carry them through! It by no means that they have not struggled in their own ways but their stregth is not their own and it is quite evident.
Even though I live LONG distance from these people I still have learned so very much from them and their grief along with giving God the glory though everything they have faced is an encouragement to me. And their stories can be an encouragement to you as well. Will you let them?
