TECHNOLOGY- At first I thought this was kinda hokey! I mean REALLY? But i began to think what technology means for me personally. I don’t often broadcast the fact that I am visually Impaired because that does not define who I am as a person! But for the sake of this blog post technology is huge! There are lots of pieces of technology that makes my life easier as a person who is legally blind BUT the most important piece of Technology for me is what I am writing this very blog post on! My iPad! Oh the headaches i used to get! But now the print can be made quite large. I can read and write. AND i can get it as close to my face as need be!

Project: Jewelry/ Earring Holder

A few months back I saw an idea either on Pinterest or Facebook. I can’t really remember, but I loved it. I need a good place to put my earring but it had to be something that said “Mary” all over it!

This was it AND. It screams MARY! The birdhouses, frogs, flowers and ladybugs…oh and the cutesy colors too!

So here is my finished prject!

When Your Husband Makes You Cry!

Whoa there before this gets blown out of proportion, he didn’t do anything wrong!

he is amazing and each and everyday he grows more and more!   But this week, and over the last month I  have seen my husband change, and not for the worse.  He is taking a stand for something he believes in, our family!

Let me first say this, a lot of times Christian wives (particularly pastor’s wives) get the raw end  of the deal.   Both hubby and I find it apalling that pastors use their ministry as an excuse to make their wives single mothers!   This has been a frustration for a VERY long time, mostly because it couldn’t be more wrong!

in our home we have made the committment to sacrifice for each other!  That’s  exactly what our wedding vows said.  That does not mean that I get all of the responsibilty on Sunday mornings for our kids.

Now most people would say that I personally have issues.  That I am a selfish wife and so on and so forth.   I have a problem there to. I didn’t tell my husband to think that, matter of fact my husband will tell you he has actually has asked me to “nag” him on certain things, to which I refuse!.   since we have been married my husband has completed two degrees and is working on a third.  for a couple of years he went to school full time, worked full time and ministered full time,.   We  all made sacrifices.  During  that time I was accused of being selfish .  More or less i was fighting for our family.   To keep it strong and healthy!  But My husband is a very wise man.  I respect his wisdom and knowledge!  But first and foremost we are a team!  Without that team he is ineligible to be a pastor.  That means if we have a bad marriage his job is on the line.  God NEVER intended a job, whether a male or females to come before their marriage!

Plans Sometimes Have to Change!

This weekend started off great! Hubby did a wedding in our church that was amazing! It was the first wedding we attended as a whole family. The kids did great! But when we got home something bad happened. Little bean broke out into blisters…on his hands…on his feet…and most likely in his mouth since we could find any, yet he didn’t want to eat! HAND FOOT AND MOUTH! Not to be confused with hoof and mouth which only livestock gets. It is a virus that normally only small children get. You only become contagious when the blisters pop up. It kinda looks like chicken pox but they don’t scab over and they are not as big….oh and NO ONE acts as though they are sick or getting sick….it’s just ” i have a boo boo ” …”OH NOOOO”. *insert mommy groaning*

Yeah that was my weekend….I usually roll with the punches pretty well but……
Then Lady bug got blisters late Saturday night, and then weasel got them late Sunday night…ok so he has 2 blisters. Tornado is still “clean”! So he got to go to school this morning! Well at least for an hour anyway. I told the bus driver it was likely that ladybug would be out for the whole week. She asked what it was i explained it. When she got to the kids school she claimed tornado didn’t look so good. She also said something to the other kids that got them worried. So in order to keep peace which I totally understand Tornado will also be home for the whole week!

So now God has revealed his plan for my week! Is it what I had planned…not a chance! Was I happy about it…not really! What can i do about it? Nothing really but glorify God in everything I say and do! What i am going to do is this…..have some FUN!
