Prayers, Inspirational Quotes or Devotionals::::

My verse for the year:

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9-10‬ ESV)

Wordless Wednesday-New Mercy

I just adore where we live.  The views out each window really makes you so grateful for the creation God made for our enjoyment!   And each morning as I come down stairs and the pink glow consumes every nook in my living room I stop for a brief moment and soak in the painting God created for me to enjoy.   And each time I see this  picture out my living room window this verse comes to mind….”his mercy is new everymorning”.  Just like each morning there is a new sunrise…there really is no duplicate.  Same with snowflakes, butterfly wings and fingerprints.  No two days are the same.

I’m so very grateful that I don’t have to worry about living on leftovers from the day before.  If gives me a renewed sense of hope that I can start fresh each day.

TRUTH IS…..

it a game played by hundreds (if not thousands) of teens and young adults on Facebook.   The whole premise is that when you see the “truth is…..” Status you click like and the person who posted it will finish the statement with something (usually good) about you!

A few years ago I had no idea what this game was.  So scrolling through FB One evening I saw this status from one of my Youth group kids and I liked it!….BECAUSE I LIVE FOR TRUTH!   What happened in return humbled me so much’.  I was so grateful for her encouraging words….but in the same respect my niavity was erased!

So what does that have to do with this book.  Well it was around the same time that I acquired a free copy of Hope fore the Weary Mom.   It sat on my Kindle for months.  Little did I know that this book was going to be used by God in a fantastic way.    Fast forward to January of 2013.  Brooke and Stacey started a book club going through Hope.   It was a horrible time as I walked this Huge journey. Of realizing that our then 5 year old son was far more than “a little bit quirky”.  I felt all alone as began to realize our path now merged with that of a child on the Autism Spectrum……but my voice wasn’t the only one telling me I was failing….it echoed from every nook and cranny of my world.   I hid in my home, I feared going out in public with him.   I was SPENT!

Book Review-Ex-Muslim by Naeeem Pazal

Ex-Muslim is Author Naeem Pazal’s autobiography. In his book Mr. Pazal shares many accounts spanning from his childhood through to where he is in life today. He grew up in Kuwait and like most there was Muslim, but through a series of amazing miracles Naeem and ALL his siblings come to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. Throughout this book you watch not only Naeem and his family become believers in Jesus but you watch him metamorphasize into a mature believer. He is honest in the struggles that brought him to the place of maturity he finds himself today!

I enjoyed this book greatly, though it did take a long time to read (it’s quite wordy) yet still compelling. I learned a great deal about life in Kuwait and struggles facing believers in that area of the world.

I found myself captivated by his testimony and the emotions he was able to capture in reference to the reaction of his still Muslim parents.

There were moments of me struggling through theological points but in the end I really had to give it to God and say, this is his testimony, who am I to say God doesn’t do these things. It’s riveting to hear the battle for his soul and after reading this book and his journey and his ministry I have no doubt that God is going to use Naeeem, his family and this book is a very big way!

(This book was provided for free for review by BookLook bloggers. And in no way Am I being paid for a positive review)

I give Ex-Muslim 4 out of 5 stars
