A creative moment

It’s only been 6 months since I started making my own cards! I love it though and it is a ton of fun to be so creative. I love being so creative and being pleased with the end product..though I can always think of a cuple of ways to make to better! So my friend Jen (From Reelections In the Window)came over today and she showed me her cards she made for Father’s Day which by the way is this Sunday! i had already been planning to make a card for my parent’s 29th anniversary so it was a card making day instead of scrapbooking! So below is the final mater piece. The stickers were cooperating i think mostly because of the humidity! But the rest was pretty smooth. I had a couple of first though that went very well. In between the purple Flower stickers are dainty silver flower brads. Then there is the ribbon with 2 eyelets. there are the sliders which are die cut I and may I emphasize I made with my Cuttlebug Die Cutting Machine! And finally my favorite new thing that i tried was a rub on monogram that makes this card seem professional in some tiny way!. It actually looks printed and it’s not!!!!! I have had these rub ons for a while now but have been too chicken to try them on a scrapbook page! not anymore..Bring ’em on! isn’t being creative so invigorating!. If i need a fix, don’t get me coffee or even chocolate (but shh don’t tell hubby I said that). Just give me an hour to create and I am a happy girl! How about you? What gets you going creatively! Jen if you read this I tag you to show your cute father’s day Card. It is absolutely adorable!

TO-DO Thursdays

So here it is My To-do List for Thursday

TO-DO LIST

1. Write out Proverbs 15:16-26
2. Complete 75% of my cleaning cards (click here for an explanation)
3. Clean our bedroom
4. reorganize clothes situation in Vug’s room
5. clean out medicine cabinet in bathroom.
6. Have a cup of tea and relax
7. Call a friend

I know it’s a shorter list but that’s the whole point of the card system so my To-do lists are shorter!

EDIT:So all I got done was the last one. I called a friend. Don’t get me wrong I did lots of work and accomplished some of all of the above just not enough. I used to get side tracked by fun things now I get side tracked by my kids. I’m not saying they are not fun. It’s the actions in which I have to constantly clean up after that isn’t so much fun! The plight of a parent!

All Jammed Up

Sticky faces and sticky hands is what i had to deal with as I retrieved Tornado and Lady Bug from under the kitchen table with their stash. yep you guessed a whole jar full of home made jam I had over looked from breakfast. What a sticky mess but Oh So cute! 🙂

My walk Monday or whatever

I have been wanting to do “my walk Mondays” for a while now but today is such a sad day.We have put our heart and soul (and a lot of money) Into finding a church. What a disaster. In our heads we know we are called into ministry as a pastors family. We work hard for the end. but so many things have flopped. This last place was great, we loved it and they loved us! So last night they voted. A few people showed up who didn’t take advantage of all the options the pulpit committee had set up for people to ask us questions and to meet us. they came into the meeting and raised some questions that we could have answered but therefore put some questions into the minds of the people who did meet us! Needless to say they voted us down by 2 votes! The pulpit committee was crushed they thought we were the ones. We were the best match! We thought so too! I know that in Romans 8:28 it says that “All things things work together for good” I know that in Jeremiah 29:11 God tells us “I know the plans that I have laid out for you” I just wish I knew what they were too. It’s so silly that you think you have the right place and then you find out that a few troublemakers spoiled the whole thing. And you can’t help but wonder if that was God’s will and they chose to be disobedient! I can’t figure out what exactly we are missing here! We are in prayer daily and we are open to anything! So then we have also been given mixed messages. We have been told by 2 churches that we need to take and Associate position because we are too young and inexperienced, then by two other churches we have been told that they can’t understand why we would consider their church because we are over qualified! This last church thought we were a perfect match! If you are preparing for ministry be sure you are ready to drag your families hearts with you. they will make friends that they may not get to keep! You may make connections with people that you so want to be a part of their lives to help them grow and get comforted! Our hearts ache to serve. What is God’s plan. One only knows!

Today a wonderful friend will probably pass on into glory! Hubby has been taking this hard and i have not even shared the newest news that Kevin was taken off life support early this morning.
