I am so very thankful that God saw fit to give me a daughter!Today we had a special first mommy and daughter time. I painted her toenails and she loved every minute of it! She is a girl from the word go. She has a much gentler, quieter spirit than her older AND younger brother. She is so sweet.

So here she is In her night gown all ready for bed and those precious little toes!

So I took a picture of her toes before she went to bed but accidentally deleted them from my camera So I had to sneak into her room twice to get a good shot of those little piggies while she was asleep. The first time it was too blurry and the second time i got this shot!

What a sweetie!

To-Do Thursdays

Can you believe it is Thursday already!?!
It’s crazy when you can’t even do your own original meme! We have been so busy. we went on vacation…then while on vacation the kids got sick..we came home and I got sick,,,,We went away to Akron for Happy Hubby to speak at a church there and now here I am trying to get back into some form of routine. So in an attempt to do so here is my list for today

TO-DO LIST
1. Dishes all done (√) It took me 4 hours. Between chasing kids and cleaning the sink out and wiping down the coutertops and de-cluttering All the flat surfaces in the kitchen Whew I needed a break!)
2. Organize card file (AGAIN!)(√ )I was only a week off so it didn’t take very long
3. Finish up Vug’s Room ((√)All I have to do is vacuum! When I was working in there though i discovered a wasp problem. There’s no trim around the window B/C we will be working in there in about a month or so. So now we are going to have to spray around the window in the BABY”S room! YUCK!!!
4. !/2 of our room
5. Clean out fridge(√)
6. Organize and de-clutter shelves in laundry room(√)
7. Dinner has to be ready before 6 pm(√)
8. Phone interview that I also have to attend(√)
9. Catch up on writing out the book of Proverbs
10. Read for fun!!

I know it’s a long list but I need to get back into the swing of things! So this week it is 10 things and hopefully by next week I will be back to my normal 5!

(EDIT: So yesterday I got 7/10 that’s not half bad! I will definitely get to my room today and hopefully have a chance to relax! Oh and tonight is our night out so it should be fun Well Unless something strikes me this is it for the day. Have a good one!)

FINALLY!!!!!

After a long time of desiring to make an updated portrait. I came to the conclusion that I/we didn’t have the time for such craziness! So today i took a much needed break in between organizing and de-cluttering Vug’s room to Make this Nifty slide show that now replaces our very outdated family photo! It took a couple of hours..spread over even more hours. I figured out a computer program and a free online creation tool to come up with what I now have. I had a whole lot of fun doing this and I hope you enjoy!!!

Tackle It Tuesday

Wow it has been a really long time but I did want to share with you my “tackle” for today!
So here it is…..


I found this Declutter Calendar Last week. I loved the idea..however The year is half over so there is no possible way I could catch up. So after perusing it for a while I realized I had done a bunch already and I figured about how many day I would have to do just to catch up. Well By the end of August I should be all caught up and that only doing 4 “back” items a day and the item for that specific day! They are simple and short things to do to make your home more beautiful.

Outside my Window...Bright sunshine…I love it!!!

I am thinking…I am so very happy to be hope from a long hot weekend on the road!

I am thankful for…Family We got to visit with hubbies family on Saturday and had a wonderful time.

From the kitchen…Eggs…Egg Bake to be exact!

I am creating…A home sanctuary for family and friends!

I am going…no where until Friday..Friday is our night out so any and all shopping is done in one trip.. I enjoy being at home

I am wearing...Gray shorts that have seen better day..I have had them since high school and a pink tank top with a sloppy pony tail and bare feet!
I am reading…One Lady at a Time; the Bible; The hidden Art of Homemakeing; Jesus Among Other God’s and a few others.

I am hoping..to get a lot of stuff done today

I am hearing...Kids finishing breakfast downstairs and a cicada outside!

Around the house...Tons to do!!!! 2 rooms to be decluttered today. Vugs and my bedrroom..better get cracking..oh and laundry!!

One of my favorite things…Teaching tornado new things. He is learning so much

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…get the old terrible looking shade down in Vug’s room, sew curtain for the other kid’s room and get it hung!
