Simple Woman’s Day Book

FOR TODAY (Tuesday for Monday)…

Outside My Window…Sparkling lights….lots of them. To all sides. it’s four am Monday and I am in our truck heading home from NYC or should i say Long Island. There are lights all around me. from bridges to cars to the beautiful lights of one of my favorite cities!

I am thinking...I liked this church….not as much as some but a ton more that others..LOL we shall see!

From the learning room.Preschool stuff sitting in the corner of the den just waiting for next Tuesday morning as Tornado and I embark on formal education! He is ready and needs some form of structured time So this is it! Here we go!

I am thankful for…a husband who doesn’t get frustrated in heavy traffic….unless we are sitting for two hours creeping along at 1 to 2 MPH we think because of a Yankees game!!!! It’s a Long story! But even then he didn’t complain complain!

From the kitchen…Lots of things to put away. Hopefully some cookies for hubby’s lunch and maybe some potato salad with Bacon

I am wearing… Tan shorts and a white sleeveless shirt. and sneaks me hair is in a messy braid..Pretty good for 4 am!

I am creating…a round hot pad..(my first one) and can i say it looks more like a dolls tutu than anything close to a hot pad!

I am going…to my college where I graduated from and meeting up with my maid of honor and her hubby. They are expecting their first baby on Christmas eve and i haven’t seen them in 3 years!

I am reading…Parenting in the Pew. It’s a great book and I highly recommend it!

I am hoping...that we get a church soon or God shows us clearly another direction to head in! It’s hard doing this all the time!

I am hearing…Heavy breathing from the back seat as all 3 kiddos are asleep. Hubby and i are also having a great time talking!

Around the house…A LOT of unpacking to do! And then more repacking for this next weekend at my parents house in PA…Not to mention a few dishes that weren’t done before we left and some other minor things…Oh yeah and Laundry!

One of my favorite things...NYC..It’s such a neat place to visit. I have been to the city 3 times and to long Island 2 times. i Love it though I don’t think i could live in the city….but Long Island i can deal with!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:Cleaning cleaning and more cleaning…unpacking repacking and off to my parents house for Labor day on Friday..Saturday holds a trip to a local amusement park for the kids and my mom will go a long !

My To-Do List

1. Get most of the upstairs completely cleaned…Right down to Vacuuming! (be
looking for a product review off space Bags in the near future)
2. Dishes all washed and put away
3. Floor swept
4. Clean off island
5. relax and have a cup of tea!

I don’t know about you but I love to-do lists. i have numerous ways i do this but the simplest way is to just write it on a paper and then put a check mark next to it!

Yep it’s that simple!

So here it goes..

It’s all my Fault

So I wrote at the end of my last post that we were heading for a local
amusement park! I also said that I would take lots of pictures …If I remembered my camera…Well the good news is I did…the bad news is i forgot my card! Sorry! It was still in the dock from my last major upload~

So here is a couple of highlights….

1.
There is a water park attached. And in that water park there is a
Kiddies pool. Well Lady bug Loves the water. Tornado Does not!!!!
Anyway so there are two small slides that go into very shallow
water…Lady bug immediately loved this. Slides and water her two
favorite things!! Well she went down the slide about 3 times the
conventional way..you know sitting up n your bum feet facing forward!
Well she was doing this all alone with Daddy standing at the bottom
waiting for here..with Tornado when she decided to go down face first
on her belly!…Yep i know that would have made a REALLY cute picture
but alas! Anyway she REALLY loved that so she quickly got out of the
pool and walked up the ramp again..Except for this time the slide went
faster than it had any other of the four times she went down. She went
face first into the pool with an immediate reaction from both daddy and
the life guard. The funny thing it is she was all upset she wanted to
do it again and we had decided to head to another water park ride.

2.
The next ride was a floating ride where you sit on an inner tube and
float down a river, At three different spots there are places where you
get completely soaked if you manage to get under the water umbrella or
two waterfalls. Tornado sat on Daddy’s Lap and Lady bug sat on my
lap….We went at different time because someone had to stay with vug!
I think Mommy and daddy liked this a whole lot more than the other
two!! I think Lady bug liked it as long as there was not water pouring
over her head!

3. We only did two water things..here wasn’t much
we could do with three small kids and then we moved onto the kiddie
park. Where tornado and Lady bug got to ride in a T-Bird!!! A little
motorized car on a track..They had a blast…however at the end of the
ride Tornado didn’t understand that he wasn’t going to keep the car. He
thought it was his!!! Then it was on to the little boats that went in a
circle….By this point Tornado understood it was not his boat and he
had a blast. Tornado sat in the front steering and Lady bug sat in the
back seat steering.. then we had an hour meeting with a friend we met
there (the whole reason for going)

4. Then it was back for more
kiddie rides. The turtles and the airplanes….The turtle ride looked
so cute but the kids only made it around the track twice (they were the
only two on it at the time) They hated every minute of it. It was a
circular track with only two small bumps but nonetheless they hated it
and the girl stopped the ride so they could get off! Then there were
the airplanes….not well liked either mostly because they went up a
few feet…Like to my head. Anyway they liked it just fine when they
were closer to the ground but they didn’t stop the ride. However we
were kinda worried because both kids wouldn’t look out at us but kept
focusing on the center of the ride! If they would have thrown up they
would have never wanted to ride rides again. Then it was off for a
snack and one more ride on the T-Birds for both kiddos and then a boat
ride for Tornado.

5. Mommy got to ride one ride. Kind of like
the the Cosmotron at the local amusement park near where I grew up
except for it is not inside a building and there is one huge bump in
the back! Oh yeah and the play mostly OLDIES! With a little of the new
stuff mixed in!

6. Then it was off to Friendly’s for Ice cream
with our friends from UTAH. Where Tornado slept on the bench and didn’t
have any ice cream and Lady Bug spilled a glass of Ice water…on
Mommy’s Lap!

Well we had a lot of fun…sorry we forgot the camera card. Maybe next time!
