Outside My Window… Wind and lots of it , perhaps a little rain mixed in

I am thinking… I really don’t like gossip!

I am thankful for… Many things, most of which is my freedom!

From the kitchen… Not much today!

I am wearing…red Tee, Gray boating shorts, Berganstocks, Hair up off my neck because it’s too
humid!

I am creating… two new rooms. A play room and an office for hubby!!!

I am going…nowhere! And I love it!!

I am reading…The Bible..I am working on a Bible Study in the book of John

I am hoping…for much cooler weather

I am hearing…my mom talking on the phone to me

Around the house…Everything…You name it..it needs to be done

One of my favorite things…After the rain the smell and the coolness

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Move into our two new rooms in the basement and get the rest of the hose organized! YAY!!

This is a picture of Gettysburg. We visited here on our honeymoon and did the 6 hour driving tour…I wouldn’t suggest it unless your kids are teens and REALLY enjoy history!!

Hubby keeps threatening to go back and do a tour where he reads EVERY monument and Plaque at Gettysburg. I told him I’m not going!

GOMING SOON: Godless Series

And boy do I need your help with this one. Some of the best authors and speakers get help with illustrations and research. Now I am not saying I am great by any means but I have only lived my life. We all have different experiences and so on. So here is what i need from you:

I need illustrations of a Godless Nation first.

There will be numerous parts to this. Some of them being society, world, home and church with maybe one or two more. As believer’s how have you seen our Nation become more godless? What parts of being a godless nation has impacted you most? This one will be more closely tied to government. The next will be society. There is a huge difference between the two. Our nation as a whole reflects the decisions our government makes on our behalf…whether we like it or not. Society on the other hand is peer pressure of sorts. What we deal with from the people around us. At school, work and play….NOTE : do not include church in this one. Church has it’s own unique community if you will so we will address that in a later post!

Thanks for all of your input ahead of time! This is a collaborative effort and I will give credit where credit is due! Stay tuned to this blog for an interesting series that hopefully will change the way we all look at the world around us!

My Walk Monday

Hey Ladies,

i know it has been a few weeks but with anew schedule in place I have a new routine and hopefully will get to pre-publish the memes and carnivals I am committed to taking part in.

The last few weeks have been tough as we have started to home school our oldest son in Pre-K.

he is totally ready for the challenge but I was not! I was not sure what to expect from him. Would he rebel? would he completely hate it? Would I completely hate it? Would i be an effective teacher for him. I think My answer to that last question came this morning as we were leaving for yet another pulpit supply experience! We were approaching a blinking red light when from the back seat i heard Stop daddy. Red means stop. I must confess i beamed with Joy and pride. It was working he was learning!

My faith wavered this last week as I felt as though nothing I was teaching him was sinking in! How frustrating!!!

The verse that keeps coming to mind was

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Pjil 3:14

Though slightly out of context, i think that the general idea is this i am commanded to teach and train my children. No matter how hard it gets I still need to persevere and do what i am told and exhorted to do.. And with that said I will determine to keep on keeping on as the saying goes!

MOVIE REVIEW-MARTIAN CHILD

What a great movie. It is based on a true story and follows the story of a Single guy who wants to adopt a child.

It was something his deceased wife wanted to do. She was adopted herself. The guy is David and he is a well known author. He writes Science fiction. The kid…Dennis believes he is a Martian. It’s PG and I’m not even sure why. No swearing …no violence. It was a great Stars John Cusack and Joan Cusack.

It’s a great family movie! I highly HIGHLY recommend it!
