Thankful Thursday-Just

Each week it seems as though God throws something at me and makes it very evident that this is what I should write about this week. Well this week is no different. And each week I walk away feeling “preachy” BUT I remind myself that I needed reminded about these things too! Well again this week is no different 🙂

I have a dear hubby. He loves me so very much and right now he is really pouring all of his energy into a house  where we are not always on top of each other. I know you ladies are probably all sick of hearing about how great each other’s hubbies are. Well I am kinda going to go down that road BUT not quite.

3 things happened this week that made me appreciate my hubby even more.

1.  This week marked the one year anniversary of a friend passing due to cancer. He left behind a wife and young daughter.

2.  Valentine’s day (like I had to tell you)

3.  Hubby got hurt and potentially in a very bad way 🙂 He must go to the doctor today to get his arm checked out. The whole incident involved a chainsaw, a tree and a branch…Thankfully he still has All of his appendages  BUT he (by all rights) should have fallen from the tree and by God’s grace he didn’t. (did I mention this happened on valentines day?)

The last thing just knocked it right into my head that each and every moment we have with our husbands is a wonderful gift from God. And for today I am thankful…OH SO THANKFUL for the wonderful, talented, Loving, God-fearing hubby that God saw fit to give me. I am Blessed!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Unfortunately I do not know who this picture belongs to as I found multiple "owners ". I hope whoever who owns this doesn't mind. I'm sorry I didn't ask first!

This is was Valentine’s Day epitomizes. Without this, we cannot love the way we should. Whether that be our spouses, our children, our friends, or our extended families.

You can call Valentines Day fake all you want BUT just like any day it is what you make of it.  Let me ask you this…if your spouse, family member or friend weren’t here tomorrow would you wish you could go back to today and make Valentines Day something special.

Today I am not just thinking about my dear husband whom I love very much, but last year a friend from Bible College Lost her husband two days before valentines day to cancer. Don’t take for granted the gift you have been given. Make today special for someone!!!

Supporting our Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

To say the least I am VERY frustrated. I was annoyed when so many people came down so hard on the Bronco’s Tim Tebow.  But now it has started all over again with Kirk Cameron. I couldn’t care less about what the unsaved say about these two men. Persecution is one thing BUT when BELIEVERS start knocking their fellow believers because they are taking a stand and living an exemplary life and using their stardom to make Christ known.

I have read quite a few blogs that have knocked both men. And might I say that NONE of them had reason to. Both men lead blameless lives and take very seriously their call to be Christ-like.

I would like to remind these nay-Sayers that there is a verse from the Bible that speaks right towards this issue and I believe that specifically these two men are following this verse as God intended it

For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required.” — Luke 12:48.

These two men have been blessed with talent, ability, and popuarity and they are using these blessings to share their faith! And for that very reason I support them. They are good at what they do. And for the record I am not a Broncos fan, and even though I watched Growing Pains as a kid, I am not one of  those fainting screaming nut cases.

As long as they aren’t going against what they claim to believe and living a Christ-like life I will support them in what they do – famous or not!

And to them I say WAY TO GO AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
