I had so much fun yesterday. Yesterday was hubby’s and my 5 year class reunion from the school in which we graduated from together. College that is. We had a lot of fun…though there was only three of us. Hubby and I made two and a close friend who just happened to decide to also come that morning showed up. Another guy from our class who had decided to come was unable to attend the festivities . Just as hubby and I were getting ready to leave he showed up. Apparently one of his younger brothers had had a stroke that morning. He was Ok but that being said he belonged with him. The downer for the say was that the school has had a hard time attracting the likes of the younger alumni…well there is a huge reason for that…No day care…It tough when you travel lots of miles…there are no baby-sitters to be found (they pick an awful time for reunions…Friday afternoons….anyway so we ended up having a friend who is very pregnant watch our two youngest while we took Tornado with us. He did Ok but it is tough for a three year old who was in the car for 3 hours then to sit for a chapel service then through lunch and a reunion time…. But still we had fun!
Lost Keys
A Couple of days ago tornado ended up with my keys. i let him hold them until after daddy left for work.What happened next is a little fuzzy. i vaguely remember taking them away from him…or was that lady bug handing them to me. Either way…the outcome…Lost keys. That means a few things. No toy cabinet, no chest freezer…and a couple of other things like house key..Po box key and a few others..So join in with me in praying that I find those KEYS ASAP….I Need those keys!
Thankful Thursday
This week I have a few things i am thankful for.
- we have been asked to candidate for another church…this time in Long Island…When we go to candidate it will be our third trip there. After some of our other experiences it is very daunting
- That Tornado is on the mend again. He got this weird coughing thing this past week and last night was the first night that he slept through the night…What a blessing that was!
- For a husband that despite the fact he is tired likes to hear me talk…I don’t talk all that often but last night I rambled on and on….I think it had been building up for some time!!
- that I feel better than I did yesterday
- And finally the biggest one. An understanding God whom i love and serve with all of my heart. Sometimes I get overly caught up in the world around me. Not materialistically per se but more like all the things I have to do and by the end of the day I am so tired I fall into bed and am fast asleep before I even realize I had not done my devotions that day!
There are so many other things i can and am thankful for. there just isn’t enough time in my day for more typing

I Know, I know..
But something tragic happened…ok so maybe not tragic BUT it put a damper on the pictures….Our camera card broke..the one with all the pictures I had taken on it…So I need to take New pictures with a new card which i have sitting right here next to me BUT There are Literally hundreds of books in our basement just begging to be put on their shelves and my hubby is diligently doing so. So until the mess is all put away I guess you will just have to wait a little longer.
This week will be a slow post week… but I will have some very interesting before and after shots!!! And Hopefully very dramatic ones to share!

The Simple Womans Day Book
Outside My Window…Very cool and very bright! And completely silent
I am thinking…I feel awful and I have way to much work that needs to be done!
I am thankful for…church. As of late I have had this huge desire to be at church and to be fellowshipping with other believers. It’s not always been easy especially after being at some church while hubby has been pursuing pastoral positions!
From the kitchen…Soup of some sort to feep the in laws
I am wearing…gray pajamas, red slipper socks and my hair is half up in a barrette and then pulled together at the bottom into a low pony tail
I am creating… Basically a whole new house. This weekend we have arranged well pretty much everything!!! Hubby finished the basement last week and we moved in. Check back tomorrow for pics on the transformation our house has under gone!
I am going…no where weren’t you paying attention, I have too much work to do
I am reading…The bible and a few blogs I have to catch up on!
I am hoping…to get tons done before the in-laws get here this evening
I am hearing…an airplane outside and giggles from the room next door!
Around the house…More dishes and laundry as always! And then I have to organize hubby’ and my bedroom, and organize my new craft room!
One of my favorite things… cheese, i love aged anything…Extra sharp cheddar being one of my favorites along with swiss!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:Tornado and I need to get better! Get the house back in order enough that all I have to do is routine maintenance!
