This is how it starts…Just one block of wood

Now note that you are NOT allowed to add wood to the block of wood..However being that tornado is only a Cubbie and is not judged like the other clubs we decided that we would make the kids Cubbies cars something special for them..Tornado requested Tow Mater..and Tow mater he recieved. Note the mouth. If you are a friend on facebook you will remember that hubby had to get 7 stitches…well the mouth would be the culprit being all hand carved
 

Next came the painting and As you know tow Mater takes A LOT of brown paint so Tornado and Ladybug had a great time painting the car


TA DA!! And thhe finished product!!!! Didn’t hubby do a fantastic job… Minus the stitched finger

This little match box car was our inspiration We studied this thing and make it almost exactly the same…Just Bigger

Right down to the engine and the smudge marks on Tow Mater’s front!!!

It was a lot of fun..We were all involved and we are so happy to say that Tornado won his two races he won..Though I must say he was slightly heavier!

Let me introduce myself I am HAPPY MAMA….Proud owner of this blog and two others you can find on my side bar…the other two will not be participating in the UBP 2009! I am married to Happy Hubby And we have three great kids…..


Tornado is our oldest . He is three and a half and the name says it all!


Lady Bug is our middle one at two and a half and she is sweet and has a ton of curls
I guess they had too much partying! They look a little tuckered out! And Vug is our third at almost 16 months and he has decided to take his good ole time at walking to which I am kinda THANKFUL!!!


Vug apparent;y isup and ready for more party! They are a real joy..MOST OF THE TIME!!! LOL So let’s give you a tour of our New house. We have lived here for three weeks this Saturday and we love it. Our new church family is s sweet and wonderful and are a true joy to be around! I don’t have on rose colored glasses just happy to be where God wants us to be a year and a half after we started thins long process! So anyway on to our tour….this is our living room! A great place for people to sit and visit so common sit down and relax…And yes the furniture is as comfortable as it looks


Next is the kitchen. That’s where everything happens and no matter what time of day there is ALWAYS a stack of dishes to be done…LOL that either means we like to eat a lot or I don’t like to do dishes…More the former than the latter I suppose

Oh if you have to use the rest room it’s down the hall and the first door on the right! Let’s head downstairs and here is the Play room. Great I see you brought your kids…Let’s have one big play date my kids will love it! It’s always a little messy. I guess that’s a good sigh that it’s being used!

Let’s head back upstairs for refreshment. Would you like some tea…

That’s my favorite anyway….and there’s always something interesting in the “cookie” jar…or maybe it’s just the cookie jar is interesting!

FOR TODAY (March 23, 2009)… Outside My Window…Sunshine
Everywhere.no snow anywhere! I am thinking…I can’t wait for nap
time!..not the kids…MINE! I am thankful for…friends and family…A
wonderful hubby and a daughter who is getting much MUCH better everyday
From the learning rooms…Bob the Builder From the kitchen.. Nothing
extravagant! I have Pink eye, and the less time in the kitchen the less
likely I am going to pass it on to the rest of the family! I am
wearing.Jeans..a navy blue pocket tee with marvin the martian popping
out of the pocket! White sock and house shoes! I am creating..Nothing
but a bunch of posts! I am going..no where until Wednesday night! I am
reading..My Bible ..parenting in the Pew, Diffuse and one other book
that I cannot remember the title I am hoping..The pink eye goes away as
quickly as it came…YES I HAVE MEDS! Around the house a few dishes. a
craft room that needs A LOT of attention! One of my favorite
things.Getting to know the people of our new church! A Few Plans For
The Rest Of The Week…Get rid of the pink eye…Wednesday night
church..Thursday night AWANA..Hubby’s parents coming on Saturday evening

For Today… Dear Lord, I bring you my shortcomings…I have too many
to list. But confidence in you Lord has been so difficult over the last
few weeks. It seems as everything has gone wrong. My faith has been
tested! I bring you my worship and praise… Thank you for being the
great physician! Only you can help! Thank you for giving the doctor’s
wisdom as I struggle to feel better! I bring you my prayer… Lord help
me not cash in..help the kids to not get this awful sickness and
protect hubby from getting pinkeye and the flu. Only you can! Only you!
You spoke to me… It could only be three days more…Only three days!
What a joy in thinking that !

So today Hubby called me from the church and started out the phone cal
with,,”I am so sorry Honey” My first thought is What Now?? The last
three weeks have been absolutely maddening! Everything has gone wrong
on my end of things…A sick kid and then my Yucky circumstances over
the last few days. A recap. Sunday morning woke up with PINK eye..By
Monday afternoon had the flu and yesterday went to the Doc’s and found
out I had an ear infection too! have you read one of my blog posts from
this past weekend called ATTACKED…if
not.. you should because it totally just reiterates how I feel to a T!
So what was it he did..He informed me we were having company at 2
pm….not just any company but serious company..and it was an elderly
person..AND I HAVE THE FLU! I mean I have been disinfecting everything
BUT that hasn’t stopped Tornado from getting sick last night. I have
not slept in 3 nights..or at least well! However I have an Awesomely
sweet husband who called her back and explained our circumstances and
she was very VERY gracious..She’ll be coming on Friday..Unless we start
an epidemic! So all’s well that end’s well!
