Thankful Thursday-Many Blessings

I know last week was Thanksgiving but we were away for thanksgiving  so there was no blog post about Thanksgiving….Matter of fact my participation in thankful Thursday or any Meme has been less than stellar so hopefully this marks a renewed sense of blog attention.

so what am I thankful for….oh that is a difficult question…not because I don’t know of anything But because there are SOOO many things to be thankful for….So I will pick 5 things

#1- My husband- He is wonderful and realizes that sometimes I just need help…especially when I am sick.  I is such a joy to have my husband as my pastor too.  I get to see him in so many different settings and I love to see him minister to people…what a joy!

#2 My parents-  I am so Thankful that parents stuck by their guns on their rules when I was a kid…..

#3 My kids- because the they make me laugh…they are far from perfect BUT they exude such a joy…joy that is lacking in so many kids today.   Despite their faults they are truly a gift from God

#4 A warm house-  I love our house even though we do not own it …..it’s a church parsonage and what a joy it is to be where we are…..no situation is perfect but beyond a shadow of a doubt we are loved!

#5 My Lord and Savior- without Him  my peace and ability to be satisfied would be non-existant.  or possible.

 ” Because of Him I can face tomoroow, Because of Him all fear is Gone, Because I know who holds the future…Life is worth the living Just because He lives!”

Prayer Plan For Our Husbands- Day 2

Good Morning all……I hope this finds you all doing well even if it is cold and snowy out (winter is not my favorite time of year)

Well we are on day 2 of our journey for prayer for our husbands
So let’s get started

Pray…
That he might grow in all 11descriptions of a man who will not be shaken as listed in Psalm 15

PSALM 15

Psa 15:1  A Psalm of David. O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
Psa 15:2  He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart;
Psa 15:3  who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
Psa 15:4  in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
Psa 15:5  who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved
.

As you continue on this Journey May the Lord Bless both your husband and YOU!

Prayer Plan For Our Husbands-Day 1

Back a few years ago while Hubby was in seminary I took a free class about spiritual growth disciplines.  It was a fantastic class which I enjoyed VERY mulch and retained many things from.

In this class one of  our major emphasis was Prayer…And many facets of prayer at that but one of the handouts they gave us REALLY hit home….

That handout was titled

31 Day plan-Praying for our Husbands.

Each Day will have the prayer plus scripture to pray through too.

I have used that handout…not as faithfully as I should have but I have noticed a stregth in my husband.  So for the month of December I will share  each day the Prayer you should be praying for your husband for that day…..At the end of the month you can find the whole list under the Bible study tab.

So here it is
DAY 1
Pray
“That  he might become a holy man, a man of Prayer,mature in the Lord, growing in his knowledge of the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5.23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and bodybe kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

Colossians 4.12
Epaphrus who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling onyour behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

Ephesians 1.18

Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.

(all Passages taken from the ESV)

Stay tuned each day for the next installment as we endeavor together to pray for our husbands !
