I don’t normally get all political, so here it is! I voted…….I could complain.
God has a plan…….I’m not God…..I have no idea what it is!
I know I trust God…..I love God!
God is all-knowing.
God is all-present.
God is all -powerful.
Why worry or complain God’s got it!
I won’t be here for the worst of it!

As much as each one of us struggles with wanting to be liked, appreciated, and accepted, that is not what I am here for. If you like my writing GREAT. if you like my kids. GREAT. If you like me GREAT! If you agree with the things I take a personal stand on FANTASTIC! But if you don’t like my writing no sweat you don’t have to read it, if you don’t like my kids, you are missing out on true unconditionally loving kids. If you don’t like me, fine, no problem, you are not the first and probably not the last! If you don’t agree with me well, you won’t ever have to answer for that to me!
Now by a show of hands how many of you think this is out of anger or frustration……those of you who thought so are dead WRONG! I am not angry at anyone or anything or any circumstance!
This comes our of a verse from Colossians! I have been working through this book over the last 8 weeks for the Good Morning Girls Bible Study
Here’s the verse:
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
I’m not here to be praised by you, i’m here to glorify God in all that I say and do…sometimes I will fail, i’m not perfect nor do I claim to be! I don’t expect anyone else to be either. Grace! I give it my all not to impress you but to IMPRESS and show gratitude to the one who gave me more than I am worthy of!

Don’t you just love the smell of banana Nut bread, raspberry sorbet, or Granny Smith Apple…..oh or how about clean Laundry!. Well when I heard all about the Making your Home a Haven Challenge, i knew that is what I needed!
We moved into our own home from a parsonage about six months ago and it has been a struggle to settle into a routine. So i decided that this was the perfect place to start! I have many candles so i started on Monday with what I had and then yesterday we went to a local craft store who had a great sale….and these are my treasures!
I also picked up a tart burner because mine got broken in the move.. I have two candles lit in the kitchen.
And the tart burner and a candle on my desk!
My kids asked me why the candles were lit and I said just because they are nice! The kids love the smell! They comment on it almost everyday! It’s amazing how much a candle adds to a room. It’s calming! It makes me SMILE 🙂

SLEEP!
Oh this is something I am SOOOOOO thankful for, and not just myself either! I thoroughly enjoy my children’s naptimes! Especially Monday, Wednesday, And Friday. Those days I have two VERY active boys home and they go non-stop until lunch! Then they crash….and so do I.
Not a nap but i rest!

INNOVATION- my kitchen is just chock full of innovation! Everything in it is chosen by me to make my life as a pastor’s wife and mom of four healthier AND easier! These three appliances aren’t major appliances BUT. People were innovative enough to invent them so I can spend more time with my family!
