Well i know i said two weeks ago i would explatify on the list I has posted about what I am thankful for.  There really are so many more things than Listed back two weeks ago,
But as I reflect on today.  and all of the things tat are going on in the world  both in my small sphere and in this giant world as a whole I am so very grateful for thee two things.

PEACE and  A NEW FOUND JOY BEING IN GOD”S WORD DAILY!

PEACE-I know I said peace and the world around me and I know that doesn’t make a whole lotta sense now does it. BUT  as I think about the organized chaos i live in and the chaotic world we live in where everything seems out of control I rest.  I have peace.  Personal peace. Because i now beyond the shadow of a doubt that God has all got it under control And i have nothing to worry about as long as i obey His word..  I can’t control taxes, I can’t control other peoples actions I can’t control illness and I most certainly cannot control the rotation of the earth….But I do know who does!

A NEW FOUND JOY BEING IN GOD”S WORD DAILY!–  Hubby and I accepted a challenge this year and that was to read the Bible through in 4 months.  that is 12 chapters a day every day for  four months.  it has been a challenge  and ever though I have not been able to “read ” them all I have listened to the sometimes too.  I have what is called a Go Bible and it is a glorified MP3 player with the whole Bible on it.  I love it.  But I will share more about it very soon.  but what i was saying was that as we do the daily reading/listening it gives us this big picture and you begin to see how this all fits together.  What a blessing this has been and if you aren’t in God’s Word every day and want that peace i was just talking about I suggest you dive in and see what lies in store for you!

I know last week was Thanksgiving but we were away for thanksgiving  so there was no blog post about Thanksgiving….Matter of fact my participation in thankful Thursday or any Meme has been less than stellar so hopefully this marks a renewed sense of blog attention.

so what am I thankful for….oh that is a difficult question…not because I don’t know of anything But because there are SOOO many things to be thankful for….So I will pick 5 things

#1- My husband- He is wonderful and realizes that sometimes I just need help…especially when I am sick.  I is such a joy to have my husband as my pastor too.  I get to see him in so many different settings and I love to see him minister to people…what a joy!

#2 My parents-  I am so Thankful that parents stuck by their guns on their rules when I was a kid…..

#3 My kids- because the they make me laugh…they are far from perfect BUT they exude such a joy…joy that is lacking in so many kids today.   Despite their faults they are truly a gift from God

#4 A warm house-  I love our house even though we do not own it …..it’s a church parsonage and what a joy it is to be where we are…..no situation is perfect but beyond a shadow of a doubt we are loved!

#5 My Lord and Savior- without Him  my peace and ability to be satisfied would be non-existant.  or possible.

 ” Because of Him I can face tomoroow, Because of Him all fear is Gone, Because I know who holds the future…Life is worth the living Just because He lives!”

Wow it has been a while since I have written a thankful Thursday…Or any post for that matter.

I am so thankful for so many things BUT what am I most thankful for today?

TECHNOLOGY!!!

About 4 or so months ago our family was having dinner with another family.

The family said that they knew of people who were entertaining missionaries and those missionaries were coming down hard on the pastor’s family who  had a dishwasher a washing machine and dryer and and a microwave….the missionary was saying that the pastor’s family had it way too easy and without missing a beat the pastor’s wife said why do you say all of that…you have hired servants in your home (which is very customary in other countries)  These are are just my hired servants who just don’t happen to breathe or talk.

Well today I am SOOO thankful that I have technology in my home. 
I have  a dishwasher, a clothes washer and dryer…an oven and not a fire…a kitchen aid mixer and a microwave!  And I just want to say a great big thank you to the  Lord of heaven who gave wisdom to men to create these wonderful machines….You knew I would need them and use them everyday!

This week has been a FANTASTIC week. Well why you may ask well it’s thankful Thursday and I plan on telling you! First off we have been the pastor’s family of our church for four months now. And what a crazy four months it has been Let’s recap these four months Shall we?

1. Moved in February 28th
2. Hubby spoke On March 1 st-our first Sunday here
3. Next two weeks Unpack unpack unpack
4. Ladybug gets sick with Bronchitis
5. Luday bug drinks whole bottle of medicine
6. the following Sunday I wake up with Pink eye
7. My Monday afternoon I have the full fledged flu
8. Tuesday go to the doc and find out I have pinkeye ear infections and the flu
9. Friday morning hubby nearly dismembers himself and gets eight stitches
10. Busyness ensues….for three straight months we have something EVERY NIGHT!
11. 2 deaths in or related to our church
12. Marriage counseling
13. visits from family and friends
14. Speaking engagement for me
15. a wedding in our church (luckily Hubby wasn’t the pastor in charge)
16. pastor’s and wives meetings
17. more counseling
18. sin issues to take care of
19. AWANA
20. AWNA car to make
21. Sunday school class formed
22. 50th anniversary for the church
23. VACATION for TWO weeks (very relaxing)
24. Come home to Flood
25. 1 and a half weeks of cleaning up a house i left pretty close to spotless

And that leaves me at this week Clearly i have not mentioned
EVERYTHING we have had to do BUT I think I got the point across!!!!!
This week. PEACE SERENITY RELAXATION
And that is exactly what I am thankful for today… My God who understands when i need a true break. We still have had some things to do this week Somethings caused some stress BUT through all of that this has clearly been the EASIEST week we have experienced since we have been here and Thank you LORD for giving it to me THIS WEEK!
