Thankful Thursday-Are You Thankful for your Pastor’s Wife?

WAIT…you must be saying it is something YOU are to be thankful for NOT ME…Well I am getting there, but let me finish first.

ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR YOUR PASTOR’S WIFE??

October is right around the corner and that is pastor’s appreciation Month.  I just wanted to challenge you to think outside the box because the pastor may have some other people in his life that may just sacrifice more than he does…and are more than likely forgotten and they are the pastor’s family BOTH wife AND kids!!

Do you even know your pastor’s wife?  Have you taken the time to get to know her? I am guessing that if you haven’t you are missing out on some very interesting people.  here’s why…..the road God takespeople on to get them ready for ministry is usually a very unique one!  She is more than likely a pretty neat person and you are missing out on something pretty special.

Now it is no secret to you all that I AM a pastor’s wife , so by now you are all thinking SHE’S BURNING SOME BRIDGES….Oh that is quite the contrary and that is what i am thankful for this thursday and really every day of the week.

God has brought us to a wonderful church family who more than takes care of us and loves us so much.  they encourage us to keep up the good job that we are doing and they  LOVE US for who we are…and that last one is really the most important of all!

And that is why  i wrote this blog post…I think every pastor’s wife should be as blessed as I am and hopefully this pastor’s appreciation month you will remember her as much as she thinks of and prays for you!

Faithless Nation

So a while ago…A LONG while ago back when I had the Happy Home blog I talked about a series  called “The Godless Series”  Well with the changing of  the blog and getting settled in I have now decided to pick that up again Below you will find two pasts on just the subject and as an election year fast approaches we are at a turning point as a nation.  We are beginning to see our freedoms in danger.  And as a believer in Christ and as an American who still has her rights and as a mOM who wants to preserve these certain rights for  her children I am committing to you  write some very thought provoking  blog posts.  Over the next year we will talkk about many things …MOSTLY cultural, some political and all centered on our walk with God.  I will share what the Bible says about subjects and some possible thoughts on how to react as believers going through these times.

I will be clear right now I am a peaceable person and I believe that God has called us to be truthbears and to not be violent.  We need to trust Him and Love everyone, even our enemies.  I will be writing a specific blog post specifically talking about a classic piece of literature and talk about how we as a coutry have moved and how as believers we need to have our eyes open to what is going on around us.  We are in close danger to having some of the same mentalities and if we are not careful HISTORY will repeat itself.  I want you to  grow in your faith and in your worldview.   I We as believers need to look through “God clored Glasses….

And remember every part of history fits into HIS STORY!

Do you know where your money is going?

DID you know Home Depot help fund and pushed for the Gay marriage bill in NEW YORK?  I am not afraid of  people I know and have friends who are gay BUT it doesn’t mean I agree with them.  The Bible says so.   I have the right to say so I have the right to disagree I hate no one.  I wouldn’t hurt anyone.  I disagree and we don’t shop at Home Depot because we want to make sure they understand we disagree!

COMMON PEPSI

My Auny G Posted this on Facebook.  It’s just one more way people are taking God away…..

Just so no one forgets: Don’t buy the new Pepsi can coming out with pics of the Empire State building and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. Pepsi left out 2 little words in the pledge “Under God.” Pepsi said they didn’t want to offend anyone. So if we don’t buy them, I’m sure they won’t be offended when they don’t receive our money with the words “In God We Trust” on it. How fast can u re-post this one

Our Country turned to god on September 11th 2001.  Our president though he has made some terrible faith moves (Like taking away the national day  of prayer At the White House) Used  Scripture  on September 11th 2011.  EVERYONE uses money EVERYDAY and don’t get offended.  Get with the program Pepsi….DUMB mOVE you just lost this potential customer and now even more people know about your crazy choice…FYI I’m offended that you didn’t put it in there….and so are my friends…..So what about me>  How about God.  I would be way more concerned about offending HIM…..He holds this world in the Palm of his Hands….
