Thankful Thursday

Well I have done some thinking this week..about Thankful Thursday that is! Well I have decided to take an interesting spin on thankful Thursday. I am going to dwell on the attributes of God and why I am thankful hat the one true God has that attribute.

So let’s start off with the three O’s. I will do each O over three weeks,,,
This week is Omniscience meaning ALL-KNOWING! I thought this was fitting after this past Tuesday when some people are very upset about who was elected!

As Christians we Pray and pray and pray for God’s will to be done. We vote for who we think will be the best choice and THEN we get angry because the “WRONG” guy was elected!!!

Whoa! Wait a Minute..Didn’t we just say that we prayed for God’s will. So many times I forget that God knew this was going to happen. HE KNEW He was NOT surprised!!!

I am thankful That the God of the Universe is not surprised by ANYTHING that happenes in this world. Let’s think about what life would be like if God could be surprised…God could sin…The element of surprise causes reactions that lead to sin…Doesn’t that just rock your world as a believer!

As a sinner I sometimes wish that God didn’t know everything..but knowing that God does know everything that I have done or said helps me be able to talk to Him!!

I am thankful that God knows everything! He knows what is going to happen with each new day and He can help us deal with these things.

I had a friend is college whose father was a pastor. She is a lovely young woman . She fell in love with a young man but suddenly she found herself with tons of inner turmoil. She would cry and weep and had no idea what all of this was about. She was relying on God for the very strength to make it through a day. Through doing that she drew closer and closer to God. That relationship was necessary for what she was about to endure. The young man she fell in love with passed away very suddenly. God knew about that before it happened. The young woman was able to withstand the trauma of this because her relationship with God was stronger than ever. She told our discipleship group that God knew she wasn’t strong enough to deal with that tragedy on her own so he drew her closer than ever before..and she made it. Though this young man and young woman planned to marry, those plans have been ripped from her! Wouldn’t you know God had already had another young man in store for her and she has since been married….So whatever you are going through God knows..Rest in That!!

Thankful Thursday

Well I am so very thankful this week for a couple of things so here it goes

  • First i am thankful for a safe trip to and from Long Island!
  • Secondly i am thankful for a God who gives us wisdom as to what He wants for us! Though the trip did not turn out as we had hoped we came back with much needed answers to many questions!.
  • I am so thankful that i serve a God who does not leave us floundering in the dark when it comes to our lives! Although we don’t know where God wants us for our future ministry we can be rest assured that we know where He does not want us! And we know for certain that this IS where He wants us for the time being!
  • I am also thankful that Hubby is feeling much better! He was quite sick while we were away.
  • And lastly I am thankful That lady Bug got her staples out Last night!!! YAY!

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!!

Thankful Thursday

So what am I thankful for this blessed Thursday Morning (actually it’s Tuesday night I am writing this so There are a few speculative ones!)

  • I am thankful that Ladybug was not seriously injured when she fell out of a grocery cart that past Friday night. She won a trip to the emergency room and three staples in her head! However she was a real trooper an got a cute teddy bear and a stack of stickies (stickers) which made her night
  • That we had a great time at a local pumpkin patch. Saturday morning into the afternoon we had SOOO much fun as a family despite the scary antics of Lady bug the night before!
  • Hopefully by this point we have made it to our destination safely and that we were well rested by Thursday morning!
  • For another opportunity to candidate at another church!

See you again Next week!

Thankful Thursday

This week I have a few things i am thankful for.

  1. we have been asked to candidate for another church…this time in Long Island…When we go to candidate it will be our third trip there. After some of our other experiences it is very daunting
  2. That Tornado is on the mend again. He got this weird coughing thing this past week and last night was the first night that he slept through the night…What a blessing that was!
  3. For a husband that despite the fact he is tired likes to hear me talk…I don’t talk all that often but last night I rambled on and on….I think it had been building up for some time!!
  4. that I feel better than I did yesterday
  5. And finally the biggest one. An understanding God whom i love and serve with all of my heart. Sometimes I get overly caught up in the world around me. Not materialistically per se but more like all the things I have to do and by the end of the day I am so tired I fall into bed and am fast asleep before I even realize I had not done my devotions that day!

There are so many other things i can and am thankful for. there just isn’t enough time in my day for more typing
Have a great day!

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful that Our basement project is almost complete. I am waiting patiently for the landing on the stairwell to dry. Then it’s on to the first phase of moving the kids into their new playroom and hubby into his new office. Sorting toys for the kids and putting them away in the ginormous cabinet we got for them and for hubby it’s bringing home ALL of his books from our old church.

I am also thankful for a husband who has the gifts and abilities to do all of these things by himself with no help from professionals!

It saves us a ton of money!!

Another thing I am so very thankful for is my freedom of speech! I can write whatever I want! Well Ok not WHATEVER I want. There are boundaries..I guess on a whole i am so very thankful I was born in this country and not somewhere else!
